Regrets

I don’t wait, not anymore- for the time when we wasted away minds and bodies, thoughts and perceptions, time and money on mundane nonsense without a care or a shred of thought; to the waste that had now accumulated to such a height that it had blurred our vision from seeing the source of it. Where it all began, how it all did, why it did. We were blind to see how His gratefulness is so vast, so forgiving and so full of love. But we kept on with what we saw fit to our pleasures, without a thought to its creator who gave and gave and waited for us to acknowledge his presence and waited for us to turn around and recognize the Giver of that happiness but so far and deep we were woven and spent into this world’s pleasures, we forgot. Content as we were happy at being given so much, we forgot his presence. For some time. Until he reminded us.
And now that I am reminded, I wait and see. Observe how, even with this reminder we still have everything. I see a blur, but I see now. And now I will wait. For this is what I deserve and I will wait; for Your judgment.

I Can't Make Tea

*Whiner alert* Can someone please tell me why is it that a twenty one year old (as if leaving you're teen years behind wasn't enough) HAS to know how to make good chai? Really? I can't make one. BIG DEAL. I am sure my future in laws will be grossed beyond belief and my future husband will definitely leave me.
I do not understand why it is so important especially since A) I don't like it B) the taste makes me want to throw up C) it really makes me want to throw up. Hence why should I be bothered about making chai. I'm sure anyone who drinks it knows how to make it to their standards! And that's another thing: Standards; Oh Lord. The tea bag should be put while the water's boiling! NO, wait! it should be put into the cup while pouring the boiled water. NO, wait! Don't use tea bags! Use tea leaves! and that's just the problem with the teabags. Just try and get the milk and sugar proportions right and if you don't? Go shoot yourself because "You cant even make tea."

The Lost Girl-A review

Lost Girl
There’s nothing better than a story rich with fantasy, humor and wit that is captivating to the point that I was struggling to keep my eyes from blinking for the thirst to know what happens next could not be quenched, for every word was bringing me closer to the end. Oh the thought of the end! I was weeping by the time I finished, wanting more and then I find out there’s no sequel to the book that has a very distinct cliffhanger. I am going to sidetrack here a bit to mention I DETEST CLIFFHANGERS, DETEST THEM! –Back to the agony I felt at not being able to find the sequel to one of the most AMAZING books I have read in all time;(I actually tweeted Sangu Mandanna to which she promptly  but vaguely replied its out of her hands!—Ikr) Anyway I was planning on talking about the story and not whining about it.
The book starts off with the introduction of this witty character who happens to be a man-made living human (very Frankenstein type) Nothing at all distinguishes them from humans save for a tattoo of sorts on the back of the neck –which now I think about is basically branding- so she was branded like cattle to mark her difference.  We find as and well we go about the story that this character is funny, dorky and very lovable and we justifiably feel sorry for her being asked to imitate and learn everything the other familiar does. What I like most about this story is how Eva manages and handles every horrible thing the world throws at her. She does not whine away like most of the female characters I have been reading about (frown face) and faces it headstrong. I cannot emphasize enough how tragic it is that every single person on this planet has NOT read it.—Please Do.

The concept I feel although is very bizarre and takes time getting used to-but the story more than makes up for it, even the mundane writing-sorry I had to mention that.
5 Stars!

This blanketed, multi-faceted, layered world

How can I not recognize the bullshit hidden in its depth,
How can I not recognize the telltale signs of deceptions,
the spasms that reveal lies,
How can I not recognize the two faced dastardly individuals,
How can I not recognize the evil minded, the poisoned hearted?
Aren't they the product of this cruel maddening world?
Aren't they innocent? Don't the evil consider themselves good?
Aren't the lines between the good and the evil blurred but clear at the same time?
Blurred because of the attractive beauty of the creative, artistically gift wrapped poison,
And, clear because of the human mind's ability to discern between the right and the wrong?
Does that not make us diamonds shining ad mist the populated animal kingdom?
Above all, why don't we focus on the illuminated moments, when the dark clouds thunder.
When the splitter splatter of rain drops, like baby's laughter, like hope.
Like distraction, oblivion, hobbies and past times, a therapeutic drug
Dulls the painful reality, lessens its sting; makes it bearable.
This blanketed, multi-faceted world?
Time wasted on what ifs, how cans, aren't theys
Understand that life is a collection of horrible, amazing, tainted moments.
We just have to live in it. It makes it worth the while. Does it not?

HALLS AND GATES

I feel very happy when I say, I have had an amazing array of friends, some so bitchy you’d  want to kick their butts for being themselves and some so amazing that they’d actually give you a helluva moment and force you to think ‘are you for real, woman?’ WOW, even I can surpass all limits of cheesiness.  They came in all various sizes, shapes and colors (I’m not trying to be racist here, hello, Its perfectly understandable if you live in a multi-cultural community), I might even compare them to candy, mind you, I’m talking about a variety and not a ‘particular type’, the kind that you see in Candilicious and make you want to try each and every one of those scrumptiousness chocolaty-ness and nuttiness… ok so I may have a serious case of ADD.
What I mean is that, despite all the differences in personality, traits; there was always a point of time where I considered each and every one of those friends, my best.  So what happens later when you, move onto the university-phase, the first phase of life after high school, when you, leave those gates and hallways echoing with insane, maniacal laughter, the time where you lived in a blissful and mindless state of oblivion and where life circled around you, yourself and nothing but you? Its only when you look back and knock on those gates to unleash all those fond memories and you think, ‘Hey! What happened to her? ‘The last time I heard she was charging her way through a well-thought-out trajectory’ or ’weird-ol Rania’  took her paranoia to a whole new level and finally had a breakdown’ however, it’s all becoming uncommon-er , with facebook and twitter unleashed on this world. No complains there.
What I find amazing is that, no matter how much your experiences may develop your thoughts into recognizing flaws in them, it’s comforting to know that they were always present and willing, to share problems, anecdotes and above all GOSSIP, they would always have something unique to say, its time like these when you would want to appreciate every person’s ability to form their own opinion. That’s what I miss the most, I think.
In the end, I want to say to all those, who’ve spent no matter how small the time, but where there, by my side; I am what I am now, partly because of you. My thoughts and my ways, again are partly a product of all those small snippets and moments of life I spent with you.

It's Torture!

So a friend once commented on the Muslims' idea of slaughtering animals, for food. 'Its torture!'. Then, and I'm not proud to say it but I didn't have an appropriate answer, so I just made do with: 'there's a reason, behind everything' which in other words simply meant 'Shut up and don't comment on things that are beyond your level of understanding', she did shut up understanding she'd gone into uncharted territory (now, THAT would be 'my wrong-side' of course) . In my defense, I am a genuinely egotistic person, and people occasionally wrong me, with good reason of course, on second thought even if they do, I don't accept it, it's probably a 'Leo' thing but that's besides the point.
So I was just going through a few videos of Dr Zakir Naik (here I will assume that you know who he is, and if you don't; firstly: HOW CAN YOU NOT!? and secondly :"Watchu have google for!"), and I came across one, about Misconceptions in Islam, where he repeatedly states, every Muslim must know an answer to these misconceptions, so that people can see beyond their opinions and move on to actually see the beauty of Islam. That's when I found the answer to that comment made by my friend, months ago. The answer is: "Scientific tests have proven that when the animal's throat is slit along with the windpipe and the vein (without damage to the spinal cord), the animal dies a painless death. The animal twitches its legs, it is not because of pain but because the heart has pumped out all the blood from the legs. It is this twitching of the lags, this thrashing about of the dying animal that leads the non-Muslim to believe that the animal is in pain. Blood carries toxins and impurities that are harmful for humans. Islam prohibits the eating/drinking of blood. Meat without blood lasts longer than meat with blood in it." For those of you who have come across such comments but have had simply no answer to give them. You'll find this link helpful, especially in situations where you want to go "HAH-in your face!": http://www.islamawareness.net/Islam/misconcep.html

Until next time!

Blogging

SO how does this something called 'blogging' help. It helps put your life into perspective? so does it?
How many times have you sensed, in the jumbled mess of your thoughts, the hidden motive behind your actions? Aren't we all in various degrees stupid or smart. I like to think of myself as both (honestly people you CANNOT BE called human if your not stupid AND smart, so don't get too self-critical and call yourself stupid or don't get too stupid to call yourself smart!) Lets do ourselves a favor, and lets write and explore the limits of our stupidity and smart-ass-ed-ness through words (although you would rather go for the words 'journey to self-discovery', I'd rather go with 'exploring my stupidity'!) So that's how I start the first post to my very first blog dedicated to none other than...BLOGGING.(how original)
