This blanketed, multi-faceted, layered world

How can I not recognize the bullshit hidden in its depth,
How can I not recognize the telltale signs of deceptions,
the spasms that reveal lies,
How can I not recognize the two faced dastardly individuals,
How can I not recognize the evil minded, the poisoned hearted?
Aren't they the product of this cruel maddening world?
Aren't they innocent? Don't the evil consider themselves good?
Aren't the lines between the good and the evil blurred but clear at the same time?
Blurred because of the attractive beauty of the creative, artistically gift wrapped poison,
And, clear because of the human mind's ability to discern between the right and the wrong?
Does that not make us diamonds shining ad mist the populated animal kingdom?
Above all, why don't we focus on the illuminated moments, when the dark clouds thunder.
When the splitter splatter of rain drops, like baby's laughter, like hope.
Like distraction, oblivion, hobbies and past times, a therapeutic drug
Dulls the painful reality, lessens its sting; makes it bearable.
This blanketed, multi-faceted world?
Time wasted on what ifs, how cans, aren't theys
Understand that life is a collection of horrible, amazing, tainted moments.
We just have to live in it. It makes it worth the while. Does it not?
